JPGN provides a forum for original papers and reviews dealing with nutrition in normal and abnormal functions of the alimentary tract and its associated organs, including the salivary glands, pancreas, gallbladder, and liver. Particular emphasis is on development and its relation to infant and childhood nutrition. Articles are also included on mechanistic issues involved in normal and abnormal physiology of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as on the use of special tools such as endoscopy, liver biopsy, ultrasound, and computed tomography in pediatric diagnosis.
