This electronic atlas will enhance physicians' understanding of normal skeletal development and enable them to accurately distinguish abnormal X-ray findings from normal skeletal maturation. With more than 2,300 high-quality skeletal radiographs and integrated growth charts, this atlas documents the development of the human skeleton for males and females from birth to 21 years of age. Functioning as a free-standing Windows™ application, the software creates a virtual "skeletal survey" for each of these ages and allows instantaneous access to any body part for diagnostic comparison. In addition, the software operates as an image viewer (including the DICOM format) and hosts an impressive array of image editing tools permitting the user to edit and save outside images, as well as the images contained within the atlas. This is a powerful diagnostic tool designed to reduce the rate of false-positive and negative diagnostic errors.
