As one of the few publishing companies in the world accredited
to provide both medicine and pharmacy continuing education, LCMEI
is able to offer accreditation services for direct-, joint- and
co-sponsored CE activities across all platforms—Internet,
journals and journal supplements, newsletters, monographs, electronic
media, and symposia. LCMEI’s full complement of CE services
includes: activity accreditation, regulatory consultation, activity
development, planning and supervision, participant record processing,
and file maintenance.
Accreditation by the ACCME and ACPE seeks to assure physicians,
pharmacists and the public that continuing education activities
provided by LCMEI meet the high standards of the ACCME’s Essential
Areas & Standards for Commercial Support and the ACPE’s
Criteria.
The ACCME rigorously evaluates the overall continuing medical education
programs of institutions according to standards adopted by all seven
sponsoring organizations of the ACCME. These are: the American Board
of Medical Specialties; the American Hospital Association; the American
Medical Association; the Association for Hospital Medical Education;
the Association of American Medical Colleges; the Council of Medical
Specialty Societies; and the Federation of State Medical Boards.
The ACPE is the national agency for the accreditation of professional
degree programs in pharmacy and for the approval of providers of
continuing pharmaceutical education.
The ACPE is an autonomous and independent agency whose Board of
Directors is derived through the American Association of Colleges
of Pharmacy, the American Pharmaceutical Association, the National
Association of Boards of Pharmacy, and the American Council on Education.
The organizational structure of ACPE ensures the integrity of the
accreditation program through responsive, responsible, and independent
operation.
“Lippincott CME Institute’s accreditation services

of Continuing Education, “Our products have always been designed
to educate health care professionals and, ultimately, help improve
patient care and clinical outcomes. Our expertise in the design
