Description

Techniques in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery, indexed in Index Medicus/MEDLINE, offers a unique opportunity to master the most innovative and successful surgical techniques for correction of hand and upper extremity disorders. Featuring contributions from the world's foremost orthopaedic specialists, this quarterly journal supplies step-by-step details on highlighted techniques. The contributors explain the rationale, indications, and contraindications for each procedure, identify the pitfalls and potential complications, and provide invaluable tips for improving results.

The primary focus of the journal is hand surgery, but articles on the wrist, elbow, and shoulder are also included. Major areas covered include arthroscopy, microvascular surgery, plastic surgery, congenital anomalies, tendon and nerve disorders, trauma, and work-related injuries.

Each issue contains an editorial discussing a crucial or controversial topic, six to eight technique-oriented articles, and a rehabilitation article linked to one of the technique articles. The technique-oriented articles describe specific surgical procedures in detail and cover indications/contraindications, technique, complications, and rehabilitation. Numerous illustrations, many in full color, are included in each issue.

Individual and In-Training subscribers receive fully searchable online access to articles from Volume 1 to the present—now available on a powerful new website!
