Wolters Kluwer Health to Exhibit at London Book Fair

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins and Ovid to Showcase Digital Offerings, eBook Content Updates, and Global Publishing Partnerships to Support Emerging Market Medical Research 
 
LONDON  (April 16, 2012) – Wolters Kluwer Health is pleased to announce that Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) and Ovid will exhibit at the 41st Annual London Book Fair held at Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre in London, April 16-18, to share information on global publishing partnerships, new journal iPad app editions, and eBook content updates from Ovid that support quick access to medical research. Representatives from Ovid, LWW journals and books will be at the Wolters Kluwer Health stand N535.

Test-drive our journal apps for leading society titles, including Neurology, Circulation, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Anesthesiology.
  • Emerging markets are driving growth in medical research content and Ovid’s local-language solution supports the needs of local content producers and researchers. In China, OvidChinese allows users to search across 450 Chinese medical texts covering Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and therapeutic areas such as surgery and regenerative medicine, among other disciplines.
  • OvidSP’s aggregated eBook offering has more than 4,500 premium books from the world’s leading information producers, such as the new Hodder Arnold eBook Collection featuring more than 100 books under license from Hodder.
  • When it comes to world-class aggregated content, only Ovid offers the current resource advantage, now including non-embargoed New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) content for institutions. Ovid offers unlimited-user access to current issues of NEJM the through 1990 in PDF format, plus links to Online First articles.
  • LWW books will showcase new titles published this year, including McArdle: Sports and Exercise Nutrition, 4e; Thaler: The Only EKG Book You’ll Ever Need, 7e; Lieberman: Marks’ Basic Medical Biochemistry, 4e; Rhoades: Medical Physiology Principles for Clinical Medicine, 4e  and the first UK edition of Anatomy & Physiology Made Incredibly Easy!.  Plus previews of new titles such as the much anticipated Osborn’s Brain: Imaging, Pathology, and Anatomy.
  • New digital products from LWW books will be available for preview, including Acland’s Anatomy, Lippincott’s Nursing Procedures & Skills, and PrepU, the innovative new adaptive quizzing engine for students.

In addition, representatives from Kluwer Law International will be exhibiting at the Wolters Kluwer booth to share updates on their products and solutions.
