LWW launched 5MinuteMd this month.

5MinuteMd, an online community for family medicine professionals (Physicians, residents, students, pharmacists, nurses etc), launched August 3, 2009. This social networking community builds on the success of 5-Minute Medical Clinical Consult 2010 and gives you the ability to connect, exchange ideas, belong to groups, take part in forum discussions, post blogs, view videos from 5-Minute, stay updated on events, test your knowledge with a monthly quiz, access free clinical content from the 5-Minute companion Website, invite friends, and more.

In addition to blog postings and forum discussions, 5minutemd offers “Facts-in-Five,” a monthly five-question, multi-media quiz where you can enter to assess your knowledge and win prizes. The questions focus on a particular medical topic and include a video clip. You can challenge friends, view results from other participants, and link friends to the quiz via Twitter and Facebook.
