High Yield Genetics should cause a little excitement among medical students who are faced with the problem of learning clinically-relevant genetics. The problem is a result of many causes:

1. lack of time in most medical curricula to cover genetics adequately,
2. many genetics textbooks presently on the market are too comprehensive, and,
3. the content limits of genetics are difficult to set because genetics overlaps with
embryology, pathology, and molecular biology.

High Yield Genetics is a concise 125 page book with photographs of clinically relevant disorders and summary tables. As with any first edition book, improvements can be made. In this regard, I and Dr. Wiley hope to receive feedback from our readers for future editions.
