May 11-14, 2011 o Las Vegas Hilton o Las Vegas, NV www.ncnpconference.com

Philadelphia, PA (March 9, 2011) – Motivating and educating nurses to help them excel in their daily practice is the focus of this year’s National Conference for Nurse Practitioners: The Conference for Primary and Acute Care Clinicians (www.ncnpconference.com), May 11-14, 2011, at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, NV. The conference is sponsored by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), publisher of The Nurse Practitioner journal, and part of Wolters Kluwer Health.

The conference is one of the landmark nursing events of the year, and draws nurse practitioners and advanced practice clinicians who practice in primary and acute care settings.

The industry’s leading experts teach sessions that vary from practical, hands-on workshops to sophisticated critical thinking courses. Topics include drug updates, psychopharmacology, heart failure, women’s health, chemotherapy complications, and more.

In addition to the education sessions, participants will earn continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours and pharmacology credits, enjoy networking and special events, meet with vendors in the exhibit hall, and view poster presentations.

To maximize the value of the conference for attendees, all sessions are available post event at the econference center link on www.ncnpconference.com. Participants can earn additional contact hours and extend their learning experience at their convenience.

“Each year we broaden the education scope of the conference while targeting the specific topics practitioners have requested most,” said Dr. Margaret Fitzgerald, conference chairperson. “Thanks to the virtual sessions, those who can’t attend still stay on top of topics like health care reform that will directly affect them, as well as the latest practice innovations.”.
