Philadelphia, PA (March 23, 2011) – The Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing (JWOCN) has affiliated with the Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET), expanding its position within the global community of wound, ostomy and continence nursing. As a result of this collaboration, members of the Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET) will receive the JWOCN as a membership benefit. The journal is published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health.
“Nurses throughout North America will have increased access to resources, information, and best practices in this specialized field,” said Mikel L. Gray, PhD, editor-in-chief of JWOCN. “Our affiliation also enhances the quality and quantity of authors contributing to our journal, and expands networking opportunities for everyone.”
In the past few years, the JWOCN has enjoyed a significant increase in both international readers and manuscript submissions from international authors. By expanding its reach through the CAET, JWOCN will further its mission of promoting educational, clinical and research opportunities that guide the delivery of expert health care to individuals with wound, ostomy and incontinence needs.
The Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET) is a not-for-profit association for over 350 nurses specializing in the nursing care of patients with challenges in wound, ostomy and continence. The CAET offers national leadership to enable those in nursing practice, education, research and administration to achieve quality specialized nursing care.
